Martha Henry is a woman with a past. A murderous past. And although she’s by the coast in Salcombe for a fresh start, the urge to kill adulterous men still comes upon her. While walking her beloved dog, she meets Adam Carlson, who is defending a man on trial for the brutal murder of his wife’s lover, Jacob Cooper. A woman in the accompanying photo resembles a long-time friend. He’d put his life on the line for her after she was arrested for murder, but she vanished after the charges against her were dropped. Fate brings the two of them together again…
